MIPS 2020, Preparing for Reporting Changes & Guidelines - Start Reporting Today!

2020 MIPS Reporting has started… It is not too soon to get started monitoring your data, today!

As you may be aware COVID-19 prompts CMS to give new flexibility to MIPS eligible clinicians (individual clinicians, small practices, groups, and virtual groups) reporting MIPS Data. CMS is evaluating options for providing relief around participation, timelines, and data submission for 2020. The agency created a new MIPS Improvement Activity to give physicians credit in 2020 for participation in a COVID-19 clinical trial conducted by the National Institute of Health (NIH) or by reporting through a clinical data repository.

What's changing in MIPS 2020?

  • CMS increased performance thresholds, increased payment adjustments, removed/added/modified category measures and activities, and increased participation thresholds in multiple categories.

What's not changing in MIPS 2020?

  • CMS did not finalize changes to category weights and many other MIPS policies like eligibility, data collection and submission, and the scoring methodology.

What's changing after MIPS 2020?

  • CMS finalized future category weights, performance thresholds, and MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs). MVPs represent a new framework for MIPS participation.

We look forward to partnering with you and assisting your practice with navigating through the ever-changing healthcare industry. Schedule your 1:1 consultation today for a MIPS 2020 Reporting with the Dagger HealthCare Team!
