The Last 90-Day MIPS Performance Period for [PI] and [IA] starts October 3rd
Avoid the Penalty!
To avoid a penalty this year, MIPS eligible organizational groups and clinicians must earn 45 MIPS points.
You may need to report Promoting Interpretability (PI) and/or Improvement Activities (IA), in addition to Quality, to reach this threshold.
Promoting Interoperability Checklist
Check your EHR and its certification. Is it still certified? Check certification status.
Run a trial report in your EHR of the 2020 PI measures. View the 2020 measures here.
Important measures to test:
If your EHR is unable to run these reports, consider applying for a PI Hardship Exception.
Improvement Activities Checklist
Select the improvement activities you’d wish to demonstrate this year.
If you have not started any Improvement Activities, you should start them by October 3, 2020.
If reporting as group, at least 50% of the providers in the group must have performed the activities you are attesting to.
We look forward to partnering with you and assisting your practice with navigating through the healthcare industry!
